We love to share this simple apple and pear juice as often as we can. It’s great for a morning burst of energy, healthy, and tastes amazing. Have a juicer or blender? It’s simple.

For Juicer:

1. Cut apple and pear into quarters or smaller and toss into juicer.

2. Peel one lemon and toss into juicer.

3. Pour into a glass with ice.

4. Swish for cold blend.

5. Enjoy!

For Blender:

1. Cut apple into small pieces and toss into blender.

2. Cut pear into small pieces and toss into blender.

3. Peel half of a lemon and toss into blender.

4. Add ice cubes and a small amount of cold water to loosen blend.

*You can also add soy or almond milk for a smoothie consistency or even frozen berries.

Enjoy!

Fast food workers protest today for a living wage and union. Everyone has the right to earn a living wage. However let’s think about this, they are protesting fast food companies—organizational giants that don’t care about the caliber of food product or genetically modified ingredients that currently go into the “food” they serve to those individuals and families that patron their establishments. So I’m not quite sure how receptive or responsive these faux food giants will be to a strike when they are currently content with poisoning our children and families. A stronger New York would be a renewed menu with much more healthier options where a salad doesn’t have a higher calorie count than a burger. Let us hear your thoughts on this matter New York.
